USA Tour: "Double Scouting" at Football
In addition to the college game between UCLA and UCS, the HSV professionals also attended the NFL match between the LA Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The weekend at HSV was all about football - American football. The professionals were able to marvel at two absolute highlights in America's most popular sport during their trip to the USA. On Saturday (20 November), Sebastian Schonlau and Co. attended the college football game between the UCLA Bruins, the team from the renowned University of California Los Angeles, and the UCS Trojans from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. A real derby that generated interest accordingly and took place in front of around 70,000 spectators at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, the five-time venue of the Super Bowl. And as befits an explosive duel, there was also a good show. In the end, the Trojans won 48:45.

Spectacle at SoFi Stadium
On Sunday (21 November), too, the hut was full and the performance accordingly. More than 70,000 spectators also gathered at SoFi Stadium to watch the NFL top game of the day between the LA Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs around star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Rothosen had just visited the most modern stadium in the world on Thursday. And also in this encounter, the Chiefs won 30:27, a spectacular match that was exciting right to the end.

For the HSV professionals, both matches were very special experiences. Even for those in the team who (so far) were not so familiar with the egg-shaped ball. The experts such as Tom MIckel or Jonas Meffert gave important tips on how to immerse themselves in the world of American football as quickly as possible, which was not difficult given the nature of the event. So the pros marvelled not only at the sport but also at the trappings: there was a barbecue in the car parks around the stadiums, and inside, the spectators and the show elements created a very special atmosphere that the Hamburgers soaked up in all aspects. Last but not least, there were also a few people who bought merchandise. So it could be that the "double scouting" added some new fans.
