HSV USA Tour: Fußball, Fans & Football

Representing HSV and German football, making the Raute internationally visible, learning from and being inspired by US sport and strengthening our own team and sense of unity - these are the goals with which HSV will travel to the USA again after the last Hinrunde match against SV Sandhausen after 22 years. From 13th to the 22nd November, the Red Shorts will pitch their tents in Anaheim, California, in Orange County, about 40 kilometres southeast of Los Angeles. The sporting anchor point will be the friendly match against the local club Orange County Soccer Club (OCSC). The match against the team from the USL Championship League will take place on 15th November at 7 p.m. local time (4 a.m. CET) at the Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine (California). A possible second friendly match is still being planned.
 
But even apart from the sporting comparison with American soccer clubs and the daily training sessions, interesting and exciting activities are on the agenda for the HSV squad. For example, Tim Walter and his protégés will be able to visit three sporting highlights and gain unique experiences with the with the basketball game between the LA Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets (13/11 at the Crypto Arena), the NCAA college football match between the UCLA Bruins and the USC Trojans (19/11 at the Rose Bowl Stadium) and the NFL top game between the LA Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs (20/11. at the SoFi Stadium).

In addition to soaking up new experiences at major events in the American sports leagues, HSV is living up to its representative role by passing on its own knowledge, especially to children and young people. For example, players and staff will visit several American schools in the area to conduct joint activities with the kids and Dino Hermann. Everything is included, from a (pre-)reading lesson, general language exchange and, of course, football exercises. The trip also includes an exchange and a joint event with the OCSC football school, which in turn cooperates with Glasgow Rangers. 
There will also be unique events for the HSV fans travelling with them. On Fan Day, 16th November, a show training session for local kids will be followed by a very special game - the "Fan Game" - with travelling Rothosen supporters, the HSV staff and coaching team and OCSC staff. Afterwards, the day will end with a joint barbecue. The Fan Night on 19th November, which will be organised together with exclusive partner König Pilsener, will also focus on exchange and togetherness. 

Last but not least, the team and officials will get further first-hand cultural impressions during a stadium tour at SoFi Stadium, a Hollywood tour and a harbour tour. A colourful bouquet of important experiences, international exchanges and unique experiences are in store for the team.
