Detailed discussions and analysis
BOARD MEMBER JONAS BOLDT, DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL CLAUS COSTA AND THE COACHING TEAM HAVE ANALYSED THE FIRST HALF OF THE SEASON AND AGREED ON MEASURES TO BE TAKEN FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON.
The results of the analysis were clear and the discussions were objective, but intense. The Board of Directors was also given detailed information of the outcome of the analyses. "We've concluded our internal review of the first half of the season. Everyone involved was very attentive to detail. It wasn't a superficial review, but an in-depth one," says HSV board member Jonas Boldt, describing the work and discussions. This was preceded by two days in which the various players were asked to carry out their own personal analyses. After that, team play, statistics and data were analysed.
The result of the discussions and analyses is a detailed plan with various individual measures and specific changes that will be implemented from the start of training in 2024. "We're convinced that the plan will help us to make the next steps to be more stable, resilient and successful as a team," said director of football Claus Costa. In addition to sporting objectives, the plan involves everyday processes that should be put in place to improve performance. Players, coaches and staff are all required to contribute to the success of this plan. "Everyone will be judged on the basis of this," said Costa.
"This analysis process was valuable for us all and it's really good that we did this analysis directly after the fresh impressions of the first half of the season, without letting ourselves be guided by emotions," added Boldt. There was a consensus that the first half of the season wasn't totally satisfactory, which was also emphasised by coach Tim Walter: "We can definitely improve. We'll go into preparations for the second half of the season with a clear plan, having recharged our batteries."
