Winter training camp: HSV to make the trip to Sotogrande

At the beginning of January, Hamburger SV will hold their winter training camp in the south of Spain. It’s a tried and tested formula for the club, as they have stayed at the same hotel and used the same training facilities for the past two seasons.

Hamburger SV will play their last game before the winter break on 16th December when they make the trip to 1. FC Nürnberg. Their preparation for the return of competitive football will begin in January when the team travel to southern Spain, just as they have done for the past two campaigns.

The players, coaches and staff will once again stay at the “SO” hotel in Sotogrande from 4th to 12th January 2024 and will hold training sessions on the local polo club’s pitches. The familiar surroundings were a big factor in the club’s decision to once again opt for Sotogrande as the location for their winter training camp. HSV will also play two friendlies during their stay in southern Spain, but details about the opposition and dates are yet to be confirmed.
