"We are continuing on this path with vigour".
HSV coach Tim Walter spoke about the upcoming match and the special accompanying circumstances in the press conference before the away game at Fortuna Düsseldorf.
Tim Walter had just taken his seat on the podium in the press conference room at the Volksparkstadion when press officer Philipp Langer announced that more than 15,000 HSV fans would be supporting the team at the away game in Düsseldorf (31 March, live on HSVnetradio from 6.15pm). Walter took note with a smile and then answered the journalists' questions. In detail, Tim Walter spoke about...
... the support of the fans: "We can always rely on our boys and girls. They support us because we are authentic and because they get emotion, passion and excitement from us. We feel their support and we try by all means to do our part to make it successful. We continue on this path, and we do so with vigour.
"I have complete confidence in my team"
... the work during the international break: We had nine players who were with their national teams. When was the last time HSV had that? We are proud that we are making our boys better and that they are invited to their national teams. Meanwhile, here in Hamburg, we trained very intensively with all the other players. But now everyone is happy that we are together again.
... the game against Fortuna Düsseldorf: We are looking at ourselves, because we are absolutely convinced of our philosophy. It's about courage, willingness, conviction and energy. Of course, we know that our opponents will have something to put up against us, but we are convinced of ourselves. Even if we are missing Sebastian Schonlau and Mario Vuskovic, who are probably the two best central defenders in the league. But we will solve this together, I have full confidence in my team.
