USA trip: Hollywood Tour and Burger Eating
The HSV pros experience a bus tour in the centre of the American film industry and enjoy the city's typical culinary offerings.
In terms of sport, the HSV weekend in the USA was dominated by visits to American football. At the UCLA vs. UCL and LA Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs games, the Rothosen professionals immersed themselves deeply in the number one sport in the States. The programme was framed by other cultural things that one associates with the USA and especially with Los Angeles. First of all, on Sunday morning (20 November), the HSV squad explored the world-famous district of Hollywood, which is considered the centre of the American film industry. From Hollywood Boulevard, where actors, musicians and other famous personalities are immortalised with their names on the famous stars in the ground, the tour continued by sightseeing bus to Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, home to numerous prominent US actors, singers and other wealthy residents.
The professionals listened to the guides, who of course had a lot of insider knowledge about the houses and accommodations of the stars. Afterwards, it was off to dinner. And where would be a suitable place to stop in the USA: a burger joint, of course. At the California-based In-N-Out burger chain, a typical meal with fries and Coke was eaten, true to the motto, before we went on to football. The coach had allowed it, because he knows that his boys eat differently otherwise. In the USA, however, they turn a blind eye or two.
