Sven Höh to be new HSV goalkeeping coach
The 37-year-old joins the club from 1. FC Kaiserslautern, where he had been working with the senior team.
Hamburger SV have put another key cog in place for the revamped coaching staff; Sven Höh will become the new goalkeeping coach for the Rothosen with immediate effect. The 37-year-old from Kaiserslautern arrives in Hamburg from his hometown club, 1. FCK, where he had worked since 2009. He was responsible for overseeing goalkeeping coaching in the club’s academy, putting in place a philosophy for the education of goalkeepers while coaching the U21s himself. He was also responsible for goalkeeper scouting and former HSV shot-stopper Julian Pollersbeck was one of many talented ‘keepers that were brought to Kaiserslautern by Höh. After many years of working in close contact with the senior side, Höh became a permanent part of the first-team coaching staff in February 2020. Now he is taking on a new challenge in Hamburg. As well as working with the first team, Höh will also be in direct contact with our youngsters in order to help foster talent and form a pathway from the youth teams into the senior squad. Welcome to Hamburg, Sven!
