Quarantine Training Camp in familiar surroundings
Ahead of the final two matchdays of the season, HSV will stay at the team hotel Grand Elysee and train at the Volksparkstadion.
The DFL has ordered clubs in Germany’s top two divisions to intensify coronavirus regulations ahead of the final two matchdays of the season – all 36 professional clubs will train in quarantine. Next week (12 May), the HSV first team will check in at the Grand Elysee hotel at the Rothenbaumchaussee and begin daily training sessions at the Volksparkstadion – both familiar settings for the squad.
On Sunday, 16 May, for the away game against VfL Osnabrück (kick-off: 15:30 CEST), Horst Hrubesch and his team will travel a day in advance, as usual. After the game in Osnabrück, however, the squad will head to the Treudelberg, the old team hotel, which is also in Hamburg. The team will continue to train at the Volkspark from there, meaning the Rothosen have been spared a real quarantine training camp: Home is the best training location, after all.
