Van Drongelen suffers injury setback

A tough break for Hamburger SV and Rick van Drongelen, who first celebrated his comeback from an ACL tear with a first competitive appearance since June 2020 in Monday night’s Hamburg derby, but late in the game saw his foot stick in the grass during a slide tackle on Igor Matanovic. Tests with the HSV medical staff on Tuesday (2nd March) revealed that the 22-year-old had torn a ligament in his left ankle and will be missing for several weeks.
