Unique HSV kit raises €3,888 for Hamburger Weg
During the 1-1 draw with Holstein Kiel, Hamburger SV played in its new third kit for the first time. One of these shirts turned out to be particularly special.
Football shirt collectors, on your marks! Monday night’s 1-1 draw in Kiel saw the Rothosen wear the club’s new grey third kit for the first time, yet something else caught the eye of a number of eagle-eyed HSV fans. By accident, two of the letters on the back of Jan Gyamerah’s shirt had been switched around by accident during the printing process, meaning the shirt the 25-year-old wore on Monday night is certainly a one-of-a-kind. As a club that stands for inclusivity and diversity, the shirt is now available as part of an auction organised by the club.
The money from the winning bid will be donated to the club’s foundation ‘Der Hamburger Weg’, whilst bids can be sent to the e-mail address trikot-auktion@hsv.de from Wednesday (11th November) onwards. The highest bid will be published daily on the HSV website, whilst the auction will end on Sunday evening (15th Novemer) at 18:87.
The final bid for the kit was an amazing €3,888! The money will be donated to the club's foundation 'Der Hamburger Weg'.
Terms & Conditions (in German) apply for the auction. Thanks for taking part.
