Leo Oppermann leaves HSV on permanent deal
The 22-year-old goalkeeper spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Arminia Bielefeld, and will now join the third-tier side on a permanent basis.
HSV, Arminia Bielefeld and Leo Oppermann have agreed a deal which will see the goalkeeper, who spent last season at the latter club, remain at the 3. Liga side permanently. Oppermann joined the Rothosen from Union Berlin in 2020, training with the senior time and making 65 appearances for the U21s in the Regionalliga over the next three seasons. Oppermann then moved on loan to Arminia Bielefeld, with whom he has now signed a permanent deal.
“This could be an important next step for Leo and his development,” says HSV director of football Claus Costa. “We wish him all the best for the future.”
