HSV sign Adrian Fein on loan

The 20-year-old midfielder joins Hamburger SV on loan for the season from FC Bayern.

After the signing of Sonny Kittel, HSV can announce another singing: Adrian Fein. The 20-year-old midfielder, who is under contract at Bayern until the summer of 2021, has joined HSV on loan for the season. The man born in Munich has been at FC Bayern since he was seven and played 21 games in the 2. Bundesliga last year while on loan at SSV Jahn Regensburg.

“Another step forward in his career”

“We followed him during his time in Regensburg last season and are convinced that he can help us this year. He is a fine footballer, very confident and has developed well during the transition from youth football to men’s football. We have spoken clearly with him that Hamburg is a bigger club and that he will take another step forward in his career. We need players, who are brave and will implement their ideas, even when times are tough. He is ready and of course we will help him too,” said sporting director Jonas Boldt on the signing of the current U20 international.

The player is confident in taking up his new challenge. “I am looking forward to a good year, in a new city and at HSV. I see it as a big chance, to develop myself not only as a footballer but also as a person. After the talks with the coach, it was not a difficult choice to make,” said Fein, who made his 2. Bundesliga debut against Hamburg last year. Now, he will be able to play at the Volksparkstadion every two weeks.
