HSV extend contract of Bobby Wood

HSV announced an extension to the contract of USA striker Bobby Wood on Friday (24.06.17). Club sport boss Jens Todt: “Bobby is a key man up front for us.”

His speed makes Bobby Wood a key player for the Rothosen.

It has been an eventful summer so far for Bobby Wood. First of all the USA striker married his Danish partner Ditte and then said yes again, this time to HSV who offered him a contract extension. The new deal expires on June 30th 2021: “Bobby is a young modern striker who did well adapting to top flight football after joining us from a second division club”, praised HSV sport boss Jens Todt after the ink had dried on the new deal.

Todt added: Not only his goals but his work ethic and tremendous effort are what are important for us. Bobby is an integral part of our attack and a real team player. We are delighted that he will continue his development at HSV and has agreed to extend his contract.“
