Friendly vs. Bayern Munich scheduled

A friendly with a difference, and one all Rothosen fans will be looking forward to. On August 15th, HSV will host Bayern Munich at the Volksparkstadion. For former HSV player and current Bayern head coach Niko Kovac’s side, it will be their final test before their first competitive game of the season in the DFB Pokal the following weekend. By this time, HSV will have already contested two league games – against Holstein Kiel and SV Sandhausen.

Kovac won’t be the only former HSV face to return to Hamburg that day, with Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic also accompanying his team for the match. Combined, Salihamidzic and Kovac contested 160 competitive games for the Rothosen.

Advanced ticket purchasing for HSV members has already started due to the short-term announcement of the game. Until Friday (8:00 CEST), no more than eight tickets may be purchased by any one person. Due to the short-term announcement, season ticket holders cannot be allocated tickets in their usual seats. On Friday (27.07) at 8:00 CEST, general sale will commence, allowing Bayern fans to also purchase their tickets.
