Committee appoint Bernd Hoffmann as CEO until 2021

The Hamburger SV board has appointed Bernd Hoffmann as permanent CEO until 2021. Board member Max-Arnold Köttgen said: “The committee came to a unanimous decision. We are convinced that the interim appointment was positive for the club therefore making it permanent is the right decision for the future. Difficult tasks lie ahead and a strong committee is required to overcome the challenges.”

Hoffmann, who took the role of CEO on a temporary basis at the end of May 2018, will now look after the goings-on behind the scenes at the club. He has left his previous position as the Club President with immediate effect. “I am delighted to have the backing of the board,” Hoffmann declared.
