Club Chocks away for HSV’s new Boeing jet from Emirates

Five current players have been emblazoned on the 777-330 aircraft

The players couldn’t believe their eyes. Rothosen men Gregoritsch, Gotoku Sakai, Filip Kostic, Bobby Wood and Nicolai Müller were thrilled on Tuesday (11.04) as they cast their collective eyes over the brand new Boeing 777-330 Jet emblazoned with huge images of the players on the flanks of the aircraft. Captain Gojko Sakai was touched: “It is amazing to see your image on an aircraft.” The five players were picked to represent the team.   

The aircraft landed on time at the Helmut-Schmidt Airport in Hamburg. The players then posed for photos in front of the plane. Nicolai Müller: “Of course we are delighted with the whole project. It makes us proud to think that this aircraft will represent our club world wide.”

The HSV aircraft will be seen by football fans in Shanghai, Osaka and Tokio right down to Brisbane.

Emirates then presented the club with models of the aircraft which will be available from HSV fan shops..

HSV has joined an exclusive club (no pun intended). Other clubs who have Emirates as a sponsor and their star players on aircraft include: Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain, Arsenal London and AC Mailand.
