Bitter news: Müller out for several weeks
The attacking midfielder sustained a serious knee injury during the matchday 26 home win over Cologne on Saturday which the Rothosen won 2-1. He is expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks.
Bitter news for HSV: A scan performed on Sunday (02.04) revealed that dynamic HSV midfielder Nicolai Müller sustained tendon damage to his left knee during his side’s 2-1 Bundesliga home win over Cologne on Saturday afternoon and could be out for six weeks. The diagnosis was made by club physician Götz Welsch. The 29 year old who is with five goals and seven assists it top scorer at HSV: "Nicolai is an important player for us and is a tough man to lose. But we have shown resilience in such situations before. We have a good squad and I hope that the man who replaces him will do a good job for us”, explained Rothosen head coach Markus Gisdol.
