Amaechi sent on loan to Karlsruher SC

Hamburger SV have loaned out Xavier Amaechi until the end of the 2020/21 2. Bundesliga season to fellow second division side Karlsruher SC. The 20-year-old right-winger, who has made one appearance for the first team this season, should receive more gametime at the Wildparkstadion and continue to develop himself. “We’ve always made it clear that Xavier as a talented, young player, needs gametime to develop himself. Due to the high amount of competition in his position, we are unable to offer him that at the moment. We wish him all the best for his loan spell and that he enjoys himself at KSC,” sporting director Michael Mutzel explained.

Amaechi signed for the Rothosen in the summer of 2019 from Arsenal and is under contract at the Volksparkstadion until June 2023. The left-footed speedster has played five competitive games for the first team, whilst also scoring five goals in six games for the under-23 side. The club wishes Xav all the best at KSC!
