Mickel sidelined with shoulder injury

Hamburger SV will be without Tom Mickel’s services for the weeks ahead. The Rothosen goalkeeper injured his shoulder in a collision during last week’s friendly against FC Augsburg. The incident itself was a result of Mickel’s hard work on positioning at training in the days prior. After being treated for a while, the keeper gritted his teeth and played the rest of the half. Closer examinations have since revealed that the 32-year-old sustained a shoulder joint injury. An operation will not be necessary – Mickel will undergo conservative treatment therapy.
