Match Preview vs Karlsruher SC
The games are coming in thick and fast, Karlsruher SC are up next as we travel south on Sunday.
A tight encounter in the reverse fixture where a Ludovit Reis solo goal was the difference between the teams at the Volksparkstadion. Although HSV continue to sit at the top of the away from table, they will be looking to better there last two results, draws against Heidenheim and Darmstadt, with a return to winning ways in Karlsruhe. With both teams in good form, usually this throws up a classic and Sunday afternoon in Baden Württemberg could be the one to look out for this weekend!

Our Opponents:
KSC are on the up, compared to their start of the season exploits, and five matches unbeaten has steered the club clear of any relegation worries. Four wins on the trot, a draw away to Magdeburg after a defeat against Paderborn to restart the season after the World Cup break sees KSC sitting 9th and 10 points clear from the relegation places. Christian Eichner also has two recent HSV connected players at his disposal. On-loan Stephan Ambrosius and last seasons hero in Rostock, Mikel Kaufmann, with the later recently finding is place into the team and scoring a few goals.

HSV Round Up:
“Every game in the 2nd division is difficult. Every team tries to go all out against us and do something special. The stadiums are full when HSV comes. That's even more incentive for the opponents. We have to withstand that.” Is what head coach Tim Walter said during the Thursday afternoon press conference ahead of a game with a team in good current form. The HSV personnel news, with Sebastian Schonlau picking up an ankle injury, he looks likely to miss out come the weekend, although Walter has already stated his satisfaction with the depth of his squad. Despite missing most of this weeks training, Ludovit Reis was integrated back into the sessions towards the end of the week and is set to be involved on Sunday.

Match Facts:
Almost spotless
Karlsruher SC will host Hamburger SV at the Wildpark. In the past ten games against the Badeners, the Rothosen have always been able to snatch points: the last time KSC recorded a success against HSV was over a decade ago (2012, 4:2 in the DFB Cup). Particularly noteworthy: HSV has won every single encounter in the 2nd Bundesliga. This was also the case in the first leg at the Volksparkstadion (matchday 7, 1:0), in which Ludovit Reis scored the winning goal. This strong series should not be broken!
Duel of the assist kings
Lazlo Benes has nine assists to his name this season. This makes him the best provider in the 2nd Bundesliga. Right behind him, teammate Jean-Luc Dompe and KSC's Marvin Wanitzek rank second. Dompe, the dream goal scorer and "Man of the Match" of the Nürnberg home game (goal and assist in the 3:0 home win against 1. FC Nuremberg) has 8 assists just like Wanitzek. The Baden playmaker also has 8 goals on his scorecard. Exciting duels guaranteed!
Strong away team
HSV recently celebrated its fifth home win in a row against 1. FC Nürnberg. But the Red Shorts are also convincing away from home, with 23 points (7 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats) they are the best away team in the league. Most recently, they drew with fellow rivals Heidenheim (3:3) and Darmstadt (1:1), and this time they want to score again - preferably the three points!
