Ludovit Reis is staying at HSV!
The Dutch midfielder is firmly committed to the club and announced his intention to stay with HSV ahead of the European U21 Championship.
Ludovit Reis is currently preparing for the European U21 Championship with the Netherlands U21 national team, but he has also thought about his future at HSV. After strong performances and a very positive development in his two seasons in Hamburg, the 23-year-old has now announced that he wants to continue his journey at the club in the future. “I don’t need to stress how much HSV, the team and the incredible fans have grown close to my heart over the past two years. I feel very good at the club and in the city, despite the short time, it’s become like a home,” said ‘Ludo’ Reis, explaining his deep attachment to Hamburg and HSV. “That’s why I decided to stay at HSV and I’m already looking forward to giving my all next season together with my teammates.”
“Another important step in our squad planning”
The 76 competitive appearances with the diamond on his chest (15 goals, 7 assists) will be followed by more, which director of professional football Claus Costa is also pleased about: “Ludo is a very important part of our team, because he brings high intensity and determination both on and off the ball and has demonstrably – not only in his goal contributions – made a big step forward in his development.”
HSV’s director of sport Jonas Boldt is convinced that Reis will continue his development at HSV in the future: “Ludo’s commitment to HSV also speaks for his willingness to take on more responsibility and develop himself as a person too,” said Boldt, who considers the decision to be beneficial for both Reis and HSV: “With his extension, we have been able to take another very important step in our squad planning for the coming season. Ludo is a prime example of the journey we are on: He has improved once again compared to the previous season and doubled his value from his first season in terms of numbers with 14 goal contributions.” Reis will now work to continue this development in his third season at HSV in 2023/24 and achieve the team’s aim.
