Krahn signs for 1. FC Saarbrücken
HSV midfielder Elijah Krahn moves to third-tier 1. FC Saarbrücken on a permanent basis.
Hamburger SV youth academy graduate Elijah Krahn has left the club on a permanent deal to join 3. Liga side 1. FC Saarbrücken. Krahn joined the club in 2015 from SC Concordia Hamburg and progressed through the youth ranks to make 23 appearances for HSV’s Regionalliga team. His performances there earned him the right to train with the first team, and since making his senior debut in February 2022 he has made eight league appearances for the club, alongside four outings in the DFB-Pokal.
“Elijah has made positive steps year after year in our academy and has gained his first professional experience in the last couple of years. Moving to the third division could well be the ideal next step on his journey,” says director of professional football Claus Costa. “We wish him all the best and will keep an eye on his development.”
