Katterbach: "Always looking for the playing solution".
He was the first new face at HSV's training camp: Noah Katterbach, who talks to HSV.de about his new role with the Rothosen.
Last Saturday (14 January), Noah Katterbach arrived at HSV's training camp and, thanks to a guest match permit, directly completed his first training session with his new teammates. The 21-year-old left-back, whose transfer was formally confirmed on Tuesday (17 January), comes to HSV on loan from 1. FC Köln and fitted in well during the first few days and sessions. In an interview with HSV.de, the 21-year-old, who will be wearing number 33, talks about his impressions of his new team, his personal strengths and the reasons for his curiously short journey to the HSV training camp in Sotogrande, southern Spain.
Noah Katterbach about...
... his first impressions: I'm happy to be at HSV and the guys gave me a great welcome. The team is on the gas in training, I like that.
... the short journey to the HSV team hotel S/O Sotogrande: While I was here in the training camp with FC Basel around the corner, the talks with HSV picked up speed. When FCB left, I then drove the 20 minutes or so to the HSV team hotel. So in the meantime I've been in Spain for a fortnight at a stretch. (laughs)
... his footballing strengths: I always try to find playful solutions and like to get involved offensively. I want to be involved in goals with crosses and my own finishes.
