Johansson joins Halmstads BK on loan

HSV goalkeeper Marko Johansson has joined Swedish top division side Halmstads BK on loan until the end of the year. The 24-year-old Swede of Serbian descent moved to the Elbe from his hometown club Malmö FF in summer 2021 and spent last season at VfL Bochum. “Marko knows that we consider ourselves to be well-stocked in the goalkeeping department and it would be difficult for him in terms of playing time,” explains director of football Claus Costa. “Together with him we hope that Marko can demonstrate his qualities out on loan at Halmstads and gain some match practice before the end of the year.”
