HSV sign Robert Glatzel
27-year-old striker joins from Cardiff City, signing a three-year contract.
Robert Glatzel has signed for Hamburger SV from Cardiff City. The 27-year-old striker spent last season on loan at 1. FSV Mainz 05. The German has signed a contract until summer 2024 at HSV.
“Robert is very physical, knows where the goal is and can play good football too. He’s got plenty of experience in the 2. Bundesliga, but can still develop at 27. He’s got a good personality and will help out the dressing room,” said sporting director Michael Mutzel. The new signing is also excited to play with his new teammates. “There are many reasons for choosing to move to HSV. The most important thing is that I want to support the club in reaching their goals. I can’t wait to get started and to get to know the team.”
