HSV schedule friendly at FC Basel
On 9 July, the traditional Swiss club will host HSV in St. Jakob-Park for the third international friendly match of the preparation.
After the two training camp test matches against Hajduk Split from Croatia (2:2) and Aris Thessaloniki from Greece (tonight at 5.30 pm live on HSVtv), Hamburger SV will play another international friendly match at short notice next Saturday (9 July): The Red Shorts will be guests of the traditional Swiss club FC Basel in the venerable St. Jakob Park. The match with the 20-time champions and 13-time cup winners of Switzerland will take place away from home due to the concert summer in the Volksparkstadion and will kick off at 3.30 pm. Tickets are available for 20 Swiss francs (main stand) and 10 Swiss francs (guest sector) and can be purchased from FC Basel ticket sales from Monday.
The last time the Rothosen played FC Basel was during the HSV Volksparkfestival 2021 and they won 1-0 thanks to a goal by Manuel Wintzheimer. The last duel between the two traditional clubs at St. Jakob-Park again took place as part of HSV's winter preparation for the 2019/20 season. On that occasion, the Red Shirts won 2-0 with goals from Jeremy Dudziak and Sonny Kittel. The latter is also in the squad this time and is looking forward to the third test match against a top-class international opponent.
