HSV organise winter training camp in Turkey

HSV can confirm that their winter training camp in 2025 will be in Turkey. The Rothosen will prepare for the second half of the season in Belek from 3rd to 11th January. The contracts for the trip were signed just before the turn of the year.

The original plan was for the HSV team to prepare for the 1. FC Köln game on 18th January at home in Hamburg. However, the analysis done following the win over Fürth decided that Merlin Polzin would remain as head coach. The club’s sporting management then discussed the idea of training in in Turkey at the start of January due to the weather in Hamburg. The Rothosen will stay at the Dome, a Kempinski hotel. The training pitch is right by the hotel complex and can be reached in just a few minutes by foot. The team are set to play two friendlies during their nine-day stay, but the opponents and dates will be announced once they are confirmed at a later date. Training after the winter break begins on 2nd January.
