HSV drawn away at Bielefeld in the DFB-Pokal
Hamburger SV were drawn to face third-tier side Arminia Bielefeld in the second round of the DFB-Pokal in Sunday evening’s draw.
The second-round draw of the 2023/24 DFB-Pokal took place at the German Football Museum in Dortmund on Sunday, 1st October. Former Germany national team player and 2014 World Cup winner Shkodran Mustafi, who came through the HSV ranks as a youth player, was on hand to assist with the draw – and drew HSV to play away at Arminia Bielefeld. Fans of both clubs will be looking forward to this match due to the close friendship between the two sets of supporters. 14 Bundesliga sides, 12 Bundesliga 2 sides, five 3. Liga teams and fourth-tier side FC Homburg remain in the tournament, and the next round of matches will be played on 31st October and 1st November 2023, with the exact dates and times of the games to be confirmed in the coming days.
