Gyamerah out injured for the time being
HSV defender Jan Gyamerah suffered an adductor injury in the test match against FC Midtjylland.
On Friday (28 January), Hamburger SV played a friendly match against FC Midtjylland (1:5) on the training pitches at the Volksparkstadion, in which full-back Jan Gyamerah grabbed his groin after just under an hour as a result of a tackle and was substituted immediately afterwards.
"We'll have to see what the examination reveals," coach Tim Walter said after the match. The examination took place in the evening of the same day in the form of an MRI. The result: Gyamerah has torn a muscle fibre at the base of the adductor in his left leg and will unfortunately be out for the time being. Good and speedy recovery, "Gyambo"!
