Friendly scheduled against PSV for winter training camp

HSV’s preparations for the second half of the season will begin on 2nd January 2024. Two days later, the team will begin a training camp in the south of Spain. It will mark the third time that HSV will have stayed in Sotogrande. Tim Walter’s team will play two friendlies during their time there, with the first one now officially announced.

The first opponents will be Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven on Sunday, 7th January 2024. Peter Bosz, who previously had spells in the Bundesliga, is enjoying a fine season with a talented squad. PSV still have a 100% record in the league after 16 games and are in the knockouts of the Champions League, where they will face Borussia Dortmund in February. A number of legendary footballers have come through the ranks at PSV, including Arjen Robben, Ronaldo and former HSV man Ruud van Nistelrooy.
