DFL confirm schedule for matchdays 3 to 7
The DFL have announced more fixture timings for the start of the 2024/25 season. HSV will play one Friday game, one Sunday match and three times on Saturday.
The German Football League (DFL) announced the timings for matchdays 3 to 7 in the 2. Bundesliga on Thursday. After having already confirmed that Hamburg will open the new league season in Cologne on Friday night and welcome Hertha for their first home match on a Saturday evening, the Rothosen’s season will continue on a Friday night in Hannover for matchday 3.
Two home matches follow with family-friendly kick-off times on Saturday and Sunday afternoon against Preußen Münster and Regensburg respectively. Matchday 6 then sees HSV head to the Betzenberg for a Saturday-night classic against Kaiserslautern, before returning to the lunch-time kick-off a week later when hosting Paderborn.
