Köln and Hertha first on the agenda: DFL announce fixtures for 2024/25 season
Next season will begin with two blockbuster fixtures for HSV, as we start away at 1. FC Köln before hosting Hertha BSC.
Hamburger SV will kick off the 2024/25 season with a visit to 1. FC Köln on 2nd August 2024. The German Football League (DFL) announced the fixtures on Thursday. The date for opening game has already been scheduled. On Friday, 2nd August, at 20:30 CEST, HSV will travel to Cologne to get the new campaign underway.
All other matches are yet to be officially scheduled, but it has been confirmed that HSV will host Hertha BSC at the Volksparkstadion on Matchday 2, before the 2. Bundesliga takes a week-long break for the DFB-Pokal. The Rothosen will then face Hannover 96, before successive home games against promoted sides SC Preußen Münster and SSV Jahn Regensburg.
