Bobby Wood leaves HSV with immediate effect

Bobby Wood and HSV have parted ways prematurely. The American's contract, which was due to expire in the summer, has been terminated by mutual agreement. The 28-year-old striker has already signed a deal to return to his home country and will play for Real Salt Lake in the Major League Soccer in the future. Wood arrived in Hamburg in 2016 from Union Berlin and made a total of 80 competitive appearances for the Rothosen, scoring 13 goals. The attacker spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Hannover 96 (22 games, 3 goals). The club wish Bobby and his family all the best for the future.
