Belgian youth international Amadou Onana to join HSV in summer
The 18-year-old midfielder will join the Rothosen when his contract expires in the summer at current employers TSG Hoffenheim.
Hamburger SV’s first signing of the summer transfer window has already been confirmed, with Belgian midfielder Amadou Onana joining on a free transfer from TSG Hoffenheim. The 18-year-old who has Senegalese heritage but has played 19 times for the Belgian international youth teams, has been at the Bundesliga side since 2017, leading their under-19 team out as captain for the past two seasons. “We are very happy that Amadou chose HSV early on as he is one of the best talents in his age group, can play anywhere in midfield and has a very high ceiling with regards to his potential development,” HSV sporting director Michael Mutzel swooned. The 1.92m-tall midfielder, who grew up in Brussels, has signed a contract until 2024. “I am really looking forward to the big challenge in front of me, to play for this big club with its great fans and develop myself even further,” the 18-year-old said after signing on the dotted line.
