Anssi Suhonen has successful surgery after repeat injury

The 22-year-old has broken his left fibula for the second time and had to have an operation. The procedure was carried out successfully at the UKE.

There’s been another setback for HSV’s Anssi Suhonen with scans revealing that he has broken his left fibula. The midfielder broke the same bone during this summer’s pre-season.

The Finland international had an operation on Friday afternoon at the UKE which went according to plan. The midfielder now faces a spell on the sidelines and will complete a rehabilitation programme before finally being reintegrated into team training.
