Annual General Meeting confirms new HSV Supervisory Board members

Dr. Thomas Wüstefeld, Michael Papenfuß, Dr. Hans-Walter Peters and Lena Schrum were elected as members of the supervisory body - Felix Goedhart and Michael Krall leave at their own request.

HSV Fußball AG now once again has a seven-member supervisory board. The annual general meeting on Tuesday (30 November) confirmed the candidates proposed by the previous council, Dr. Thomas Wüstefeld (Managing Director of CaLeJo GmbH), Michael Papenfuß (Vice-President and Treasurer of Hamburger Sport-Verein e. V.), Dr. Hans-Walter Peters (Consultant / Chairman of the Board of Directors / Shareholder Joh. Berenberg, Gossler & Co. KG) and the candidate Lena Schrum (Managing Director of aware THE PLATFORM GmbH) for the supervisory body. After the voluntary resignation of the previous councillors Felix Goedhart and Michael Krall, the Supervisory Board is thus complete again, along with the remaining members Marcell Jansen, Markus Frömming and Dr. Andreas Peters.

At the harmonious general meeting in the Volkspark Stadium, the Executive Board in the person of Jonas Boldt and Frank Wettstein presented the shareholders with a report on the past financial year and provided a compact overview of the status quo.

In the subsequent supervisory board meeting, Dr Thomas Wüstefeld was elected as the new chairman of the supervisory body at the suggestion of Marcell Jansen. Dr Andreas Peters remains Deputy Chairman. Marcell Jansen: "I already emphasised at the general meeting that HSV can only function as a team and must never become a 'one-man show'. My message remains: We will have to go new ways united. Our 'way forward' means tackling. With Dr. Thomas Wüstefeld, we have found an excellent candidate for the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board with entrepreneurial experience, a network and an HSV heart. I look forward to working with him in the future." Dr. Thomas Wüstefeld: "The election of my colleagues is a special honour for me. I am very aware of the responsibility. As the Supervisory Board, it is our obligation to give HSV a strong direction for the future."

The Finance Committee will in future be formed by Dr Hans-Walter Peters (Chairman) and Michael Papenfuß.
