Ambrosius heads on loan to KSC

HSV centre-back Stephan Ambrosius is joining Karlsruher SC on loan. All parties agreed on this on Tuesday (16 August). "It is important for Stephan to get playing practice again after his long injury break following his cruciate ligament rupture, which is currently difficult in our squad," said HSV board member Jonas Boldt, explaining the motives behind the loan deal with KSC, which is valid until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Ambrosius, who has played for HSV since 2012 and has worked his way up from the club's own youth team to the professional ranks, has so far played 28 professional games for HSV, but the 23-year-old has not yet made any appearances this season. "Stephan is a very ambitious player who can work his way back up to his personal top level through this loan and as many appearances as possible in the 2.
