31 players travelling to training camp
ON THURSDAY, THE HSV SQUAD WILL SET OFF FOR AUSTRIA. THE ‘ROTHOSEN’ WILL BEGIN THEIR SUMMER TRAINING CAMP FROM 6TH TO 15TH JULY. HERE IS AN OVERVIEW OF THE SCHEDULE AND THE SQUAD.
Hamburger SV will begin their ten-day summer training camp in Kitzbühel, Austria, tomorrow (Thursday 6th July). The HSV squad will travel by plane and bus to the popular holiday spot in Tyrol through Munich over the course of the day. They will stay at the Hotel Kitzhof until 15th July and complete their training sessions in St. Johann, about ten kilometres away.
On Friday (7th July, kick-off 18 CEST), the first of two friendly matches is scheduled in Westendorf against six-time Czech champions FC Viktoria Pilsen. On the day they leave (15th July, kick-off: 10.30 CEST), HSV will also face Austrian side FC Red Bull Salzburg in Anif. On the days between the two high-calibre friendlies, head coach Tim Walter and his coaching team want to lay the foundation for the upcoming 2023/24 second-division season with numerous training sessions and also further grow the great team spirit with one or two activities off the pitch.
This is one of the reasons why all the players are travelling to the training camp, so that the head coach can draw from a large squad. In addition to the established players around the new signings Immanuel Pherai, Levin Öztunali and Gui Ramos, six players from HSV’s academy – Hannes Hermann, Omar Megeed, Nicolas Oliveira, Felix Paschke, Tom Sanne and Luis Seifert – are also on the list. In addition, the injured Andras Nemeth and Stephan Ambrosius will travel with them to Austria, where midfield engine Ludovit Reis will start his pre-season after playing in the U21 European Championship. It is all set up for a successful time in Kitzbühel.
