HSV Loan out Robin Meißner
The 22-year-old centre forward joins 3.Liga side Viktoria Köln on loan.
Hamburger SV has loaned centre-forward Robin Meissner to Viktoria Köln for the remainder of the current 2022/23 season. The Hamburg native, who has so far played 14 competitive games (three goals, two assists) for the HSV professionals, is to receive the necessary playing practice for his further development at the third-division club from the cathedral city. "Robin has undoubtedly shown his offensive potential in the pros, above all his finishing strength. At the same time, it is indispensable for his further athletic development that he collects as many minutes of action as possible. This was also his express wish, so we see the loan as a promising win-win situation for all parties involved," explains board member Jonas Boldt.
Meißner moved to HSV from FC St. Pauli in the Regionalliga for the 2020/21 season and was promoted to the professional squad of the Red Shorts in the same season. In the second half of the 2021/22 pre-season, the 22-year-old was loaned to F.C. Hansa Rostock. At Viktoria Köln, he will now meet a familiar face in coach Olaf Janßen (coach of the Kiezkicker in 2017).
