Glatzel to undergo surgery
HSV’s Robert Glatzel has ruptured a tendon in his hip and will need to undergo surgery. As a result, the striker will be sidelined for several months.
Glatzel suffered the injury while sprinting to win the ball in the 85th minute of HSV’s friendly against Danish first-division side Aarhus GF on Thursday (10th October). He received treatment on the pitch from the club’s medical team, before being examined by further specialists at the UKE Athleticum on Friday.
The striker has since been diagnosed with a ruptured tendon in his hip, an injury which will require surgery and a months-long spell on the sidelines. Glatzel will therefore be out of action for the remainder of the first half of the season, but will begin working on his comeback as soon as possible in order to be back on the pitch in the new year.
