Five Rothosen back from international duty
Five HSV players were in action for their nations during the international break and they all returned to Hamburg on Wednesday.
Dennis Hadzikadunic (Bosnien & Herzegovina), Emir Sahiti (Kosovo), Immanuel Pherai (Suriname), Adam Karabec (Czechia U21s) and Bilal Yalcinkaya (Germany U19s) have all been on international duty over the past week. They returned to Hamburg on Wednesday after some differing results.
Hadzikadunic didn’t feature in a 0-0 draw against Hungary in the Nations League, while Karabec started in a heavy 5-0 defeat to Denmark in a European Championship qualifier. Pherai started Suriname’s 1-0 loss to Guadeloupe in the CONCACAF Nations League, whereas Sahiti and Kosovo beat Cyprus 4-0. Sahiti came on in the 70th minute. Yalcinkaya and Germany U19s also tasted victory, defeating England 3-2 as the youngster came on for the final 11 minutes.
All five players returned to Hamburg on Wednesday and will be back in training on Thursday to prepare for Sunday’s home game against promoted side SSV Jahn Regensburg.
